Rotary vane compressors have an offset rotor. As it spins, vanes slide out against the bore. The vanes force gas into the smaller portion of the interior, compressing it and pushing the gas through the discharge port.

In an oil-flooded rotary-screw compressor oil bridges the space between two meshing helical rotors, providing a hydraulic seal. As the rotors turn they pull the gas forward, compressing it as it moves through the rotors. Then the gas exits through the discharge port.

Vapor Recovery Towers

Vapor Recovery Towers are used to break out (flash) gas before the oil moves into the storage tank. The internal piping of the VRT forces the oil to travel down and back up before it can move into the storage tanks.

The oil will typically spend 20-30 minutes in the VRT. Because the oil is moving from a higher pressure separator into the low pressure VRT, the gas flashes out of the oil and can then be collected using a Vapor Recovery Unit.

Thermal Oxydizers

From wellheads to tank batteries, our compressor packages are designed to provide the highest quality setup without the excess cost of unnecessary accessories often associated with similar packages. Each system is designed for safety and straightforward maintenance while providing a correctly sized compressor for your specific application. Whether you need rotary vane, twin screw, or reciprocating compressors, Sivalls can work with your team to get you a system in place that will optimize your returns and efficiency.

Sivalls' R-BTEX unit makes use of a cooling process to separate water from BTEX

hydrocarbons condensed from the still overhead vapors of a glycol regenerator. The vapor is passed through a cooling tower, which exchanges heat with air from a blower. After cooling, the condensed water and hydrocarbons flow to a separator where the water drops out. The hydrocarbon liquids are then directed to a storage tank while the water is used as part of the cooling process.

Sivalls’ thermal oxydizers are refractory lined and highly efficient. Along with a supplemental burner, a pneumatic actuator is used for temperature control by adjusting the combustion air vent. All of our thermal oxydizers are 30 feet tall and are available in a wide range of diameters. We will work with you to accurately size a thermal oxidizer to fit your specific application.
